World Cup Jersey Weekend: Free Outfit + 2x EXP

World Cup weekend is live on Mist of Death. Say jersey to World Cup Herald at Enigma temple and claim the Jersey outfit with both addons for free.

2x monster EXP runs Friday through Sunday during the World Cup EXP event, and the Jersey claim stays open through July 31, 2026.

The web client has also been upgraded with bug fixes, smoother walking, and better companion handling in TargetBot.

New Floor 3 Hunts Are Live

New Floor 3 hunts are now live. The map has been extended with new hunting space for Deshabaal, Wasp, and Verminor, and the Floor 3 monster ladder now includes stronger boss variants for several monster families.

EXP has also been updated: several existing monsters now give much better EXP, while the medium and hard boss variants are new additions.

Monster Balance & Loot Update

Monster balance and loot has been rebuilt for TP Floor 1 and Floor 2. This short post shows the headline changes; the full article has every Floor 1 and Floor 2 monster diff with HP, EXP, max hit, attacks, and loot odds before -> after.

  • Black Knight: HP 1,800 -> 9,000, EXP 1,600 -> 13,000, max listed hit 155 -> 520.
  • New Black Knight variants: Black Knight Captain and Black Knight Warlord were added as stronger ladder variants.

Client Fix: Walking, Runes, and Corpse Opening

Client update required

We fixed the issue where using mana runes, health runes, or similar hotkeys could interrupt walking or interfere with opening corpses/containers.

You should now be able to:

  • Walk/autowalk while using mana or health runes
  • Open corpses/containers while using runes
  • Loot and heal/mana up without the client feeling blocked

Because there are still issues with the automatic updater, including on Windows, please download the client again manually from the website:

Download the latest Mist of Death client

Close your current client, download the newest client from the website, extract it, and use that version going forward.

5.5.2026 -
Restart Complete: Map, Runes, Houses, and Real Mana

Mist of Death has been restarted cleanly, which means the latest server-side work is now active in-game.

The biggest visible changes are small but important: high mana now displays safely instead of wrapping in the classic 8.60 client, and the new !mana command shows your real server-side mana when your pool grows beyond the client bar.

  • House doors now refresh their owner text correctly after restart.
  • Rebirth rune quest guards have a smoother difficulty curve from rebirth 2 to rebirth 10.
  • The latest map update is active after the restart.
  • Annihilator and Pits of Inferno levers now allow smaller groups instead of requiring every tile to be filled.
  • GM saves and timed house/map saves are safer, and the restart was done only after a confirmed house/map save.

The server is online again. If you notice anything strange around houses, rebirth rune rooms, or high mana display, please report the exact character and location in Discord.
